Colorado television production company, Teletrends, and television producer, Vicky Collins, develop and produce programming for domestic and international audiences. Vicky Collins is an Emmy award winning television producer with 30 years of experience in news and programming. Her television production experience has taken her through Colorado, to all 50 states and six continents. Achievements also include four prestigious National Emmys, two Telly Awards, an Iris Award, a Cine Golden Eagle, and the UPI/Lee Nelson Award for Outstanding Newscast in New England.
RECENT TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS
*Producer/ENG Supervisor for Olympic Broadcasting Services at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada. Worked for Olympic News Channel in a production/operations capacity. Responsibilities included overseeing 20 ENG crews and their gear. Also producer of an hour long highlights feed that went out daily at 1600. Coordinated the program content and acquisition of highlights from the OBVans and worked with commentators, editors and transmission. Producer of short documentary project detailing the making of the coverage. Responsibilities involved organization, scripting, editing and acquisition of materials. Worked across all departments to insure they were represented in the finished product.
*Television production for “NBC Nightly News” and “Today.” Recent projects include coordinating producer for the Butte, Montana plane crash, live broadcasts of the flooding of the Grand Canyon, the San Diego area wildfires, the Windsor, Colorado tornado, the San Francisco tiger attack and the 10 year anniversary of Columbine. "Today" assignments also include stories about "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" (www.nilmdts.org) and its infant bereavement photography, the Wallenda circus family legacy and BeadforLife.
*Television production of full length stories for HDNet’s “World Report” and “Dan Rather Reports” on issues surrounding the impact of the economy on public hospitals, acid attacks, endangered grizzly bears in Montana, Hispanic immigration, New Urbanism and breakthroughs in prosthetics for animals.
*Television production of videos for the Boulder, Colorado and Kampala, Uganda based NGO, BeadforLife (www.beadforlife.org) aired on broadcast networks and the internet. Coverage led to stories on HDNet's World Report, The Newshour with Jim Lehrer, NBC Nightly News and NBC's Today Show.
*Producing for Beijing Olympic Broadcasting during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Responsibilities included producing and writing a documentary program that chronicled BOB’s coverage, producing presentations for the IOC and other audiences, production of Olympic summaries, assisting in the launch of the Olympic News Channel, producing a one hour long daily Paralympics highlights feed for all rights holding broadcasters including NBC (www.universalsports.com), daily supervision of producers, crews and editors.
