The television production landscape is changing.  Teletrends meets the evolving needs of clients by staying on top of trends that are shaping television production and digital content.  Our productions include network news, long form storytelling, documentary programs, Olympic and multi-event sports, image oriented corporate presentations and videos that advance humanitarian work of non-profit organizations.  Teletrends develops original concepts and works with outstanding production professionals to turn ideas into powerful television.    

Vicky Collins is an Emmy award winning television producer with over 30 years of experience in news, non-fiction programming and sports.  Her television production experience has taken her through Colorado, to all 50 states and six continents.  Achievements also include four prestigious National Emmys, two Telly Awards, an Iris Award, a Cine Golden Eagle, and the UPI/Lee Nelson Award for Outstanding Newscast in New England. 


RECENT TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS


*Developed and produced "Ultimate Dodgeball" for national airing on Fox Sports Net and additional regional television networks.  Worked with the founder of Skyzone Indoor Trampoline Parks to bring his vision of a televised national championship to reality.  Teamed with Action Television to create the production scheme and deliver one hour program on the national championship from Los Angeles, California for December 2012 telecast.   


*Television production of long form stories for HDNet’s "Dan Rather Reports" and “World Report.”  Recent topics include the Chinese Influence in the Caribbean, the recovery of Greensburg, Kansas from a deadly tornado, prostitution in Nevada, oil drilling in Uganda's Murchison Falls National Park, acid attacks, the possibility of animal suicide, BeadforLife's Friendship Village, Uganda's child soldiers, Aubrey de Grey, Warren Jeffs and his Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 
 
*Producing and booking for network news clients NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN.  Producing for “NBC Nightly News,” “Today,” "Dateline NBC," MSNBC, "World News Tonight," "Good Morning America," "The Early Show" and "CBS Evening News" and various CNN dayparts.  Recent projects include producing at the Colorado wildfires, the Aurora theatre shooting, the Jessica Ridgeway kidnapping, the shooting of Representative Gabrielle Giffords, Balloon Boy, live broadcasts of the flooding of the Grand Canyon and the 10 year anniversary of Columbine.

*Producer for SIS Live at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India during October, 2010.  Worked in the highlights unit  located in the IBC to produce an hour long feed of athletic competition for distribution to rights holding broadcasters.
  

*Producer for PBS Newshour in Alabama and Louisiana on BP Gulf Oil Spill disaster.


*Producer/ENG Supervisor for Olympic Broadcasting Services at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada.  Worked for Olympic News Channel in a production/operations capacity.  Responsibilities included overseeing 20 ENG crews and their gear.  Also producer of an hour long highlights feed.  Coordinated the program content and acquisition of highlights from the OBVans and worked with commentators, editors and transmission.  Producer of short documentary project detailing the making of the coverage.  Worked across all departments to insure they were represented in the finished product.
        

*Television production of videos for the Boulder, Colorado and Kampala, Uganda based NGO, BeadforLife (www.beadforlife.org) aired on broadcast networks and the internet.  Coverage led to stories on HDNet's World Report, The Newshour with Jim Lehrer, NBC Nightly News and NBC's Today Show.   

*Producing for Beijing Olympic Broadcasting during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.  Responsibilities included producing and writing a documentary program that chronicled BOB’s coverage, producing presentations for the IOC and other audiences, production of Olympic summaries, assisting in the launch of the Olympic News Channel, producing a one hour long daily Paralympics highlights feed for all rights holding broadcasters including NBC (
www.universalsports.com), daily supervision of producers, crews and editors.

Beijing Olympic Broadcasting at the National Aquatics Center in Beijing, China as Michael Phelps and his relay team received their gold medals. This was the historic 8th gold medal for Michael Phelps.
Grand Canyon Flooding for NBC News from Glen Canyon Dam
Covering the flooding of the Grand Canyon for NBC News in March 2008. NBC broadcasted live in high definition for Nightly News, Today and MSNBC from the Glen Canyon Dam.
